We are incredibly grateful for this recognition and proud to be part of an organization that works tirelessly to promote Tulia and its businesses. Each day, our goal is to deliver the very best in customer service and high-quality communications services across the 4,000 square miles we serve in the Texas Panhandle.

This achievement is a testament to our 28 hard-working, dedicated employees, our supportive Board of Directors, and—most importantly—you, our valued customers. MID-PLAINS SCHOLARSHIPS

For years, Mid-Plains Rural Telephone Cooperative has proudly supported the future of our communities by awarding scholarships to students from our co-op member families. In 2025, Mid-Plains Communications expanded this commitment by opening our scholarship program to students from our non-member students customer families as well—because we believe in investing in all our youth.

This year, we were honored to award 48 scholarships of $1,000 each to students from Tulia, Nazareth, Silverton, Happy, Kress, Canyon, Claude, and homeschool programs. These students represent the promise of tomorrow, and we’re proud to play a part in their journey.

We remain dedicated to empowering the next generation and encourage other businesses to join us in supporting local students and schools. Congratulations to all past recipients—and to future students: don’t forget to apply!

Mid Plains Communications: Proudly Supporting Our Communities!

We believe in giving back to the communities we serve. That’s why we’re excited to announce our recent donations to the Happy, Nazareth, Tulia, Silverton, Kress and Claude Volunteer Fire Departments, which will help in many ways including building a new community meeting room and fire station and additions to the existing fire stations, among other things.

TEACHER APPRECIATION

Mid-Plains is truly blessed to be able to give back in our communities. We were able to feed the THS & Tulia Child Development teachers and staff a hamburger lunch. They do so much for our future generations, and we are just happy to celebrate them for the hard work that they do every day. Thank you teachers!

EASTER

We take great joy in partnering with our local communities to give back and stay involved. It was a pleasure to play a small role in this year’s Easter egg hunts.

75 YEARS

75 YEARS!! Mid-Plains Rural Telephone Cooperation was established in 1950, and we are extremely proud to have been in business for the last 75 years here in the panhandle of Texas.

Mid-Plains has gone from only offering phones to being able to offer internet services. We transitioned from our old copper transmission lines to the high-speed reliable fiber optic lines. We cover over 4000 square miles with over 3800 customers, and we continue to grow today and in the future.

On Friday, April 4th we hosted another wonderful MPRTC Annual Meeting for our members. We had a great turnout, good conversations and tasty meal. We are looking forward to next years annual meeting.

Today we offer residential phone services, managed business phone services and systems, residential internet, and business internet services as well as managed wi-fi routers for all homes and businesses in our area. FOOD DRIVE

Mid-Plains is truly blessed to be able to help the communities where we live and work. As they say, “Tis the season for Giving”, and we were able to make donations, with the help from our wonderful employees, to make a difference within the Happy Food Pantry as well as to the Joseph's Storehouse Food Bank in Tulia. Mid-Plains would not be able to do what we are able to do without the support of our generous and wonderful employees and customers. Merry Christmas!
